There is a bond between teachers and students. The smile on teachers’ faces gives you confidence.

The greatest thing about The Sezin School is that it feels like my second home. I look forward to going to school.

This year I have chosen a sports club, I am in the Table Tennis Club. Last year, I chose the Mythology Club as well as the Creative Writing Club. Imagine a candy store, you would want to taste everything. Clubs at our school are like these candies; I love the wide variety of choices they provide us with. There are clubs in every field, from gardening to leadership, and they care about our interests a lot.

Every morning when we get off the school bus, our principal greets us at the entrance and says "Good morning." to all of us. Not everyone can do this, and you can't learn that you need to value people like this in a math lesson. I think that's The Sezin School's difference.

For me, The Sezin School stands out because here we realize that each one of us has a unique voice. Our teachers always value our opinions and make the time to listen to  our thoughts.

The Sezin School made me realize how strong I am as an individual. I realized that I would be able to do anything if I really wanted to and if I discussed it with my friends and the school administration. This is a huge plus since most people can’t speak out easily and share their own opinion once they enter college or the workforce. But when I speak to my teachers, I can comfortably say that I disagree with them and clearly express myself. I’m a 16-year-old student, and I have a voice in this school.

At The Sezin School, each student is an individual with rights and responsibilities.

We do not take a passive role at The Sezin School; our school wants us to organize or assist with activities. It expects us to take active part in social life so that we can learn more about the world we live in and face some realities… For example, we started the “Village School Project,” that I like very much in Grade 10. It was an experience that suddenly changed my perspective. After that, I have become passionate about the village lifestyle. I have started to question things and compare our points of view with the villagers’. For me, having this awareness is really worth it.

I think the most important feature of The Sezin School is that it has successfully managed to map its own unique path among other schools.

When we began researching schools for Kuzey 7 years ago, we realized that the structure of all private schools were more or less the same; and before visiting The Sezin School, we were wondering how we were going to make a decision.

The Sezin School’s understanding of boutique education, its student-friendly architectural style and living spaces were undoubtedly our most important decision criteria. The Sezin School acknowledges that education is not only about academic achievement; it aims to educate the whole child by adopting a broader perspective. It is very natural for children to be happy in such a structure, one that blends an academic environment and socialization. The new world needs new education systems and models. I believe that these systems will be adopted by transparent institutions that are flexible and open to learning. With all these features, and in an environment where the education and examination system is changing almost every year, I would like to say that our decision was exactly right

What parent could be happier than one with a child who loves his/her school?

For us, our daughter’s happiness is the greatest indication of how right our decision is.

We want our daughter to treat everyone equally, leave a positive impact on the world, integrate her local values with the global ones and internalize inquiry. When she was ready for school, we searched for an institution embracing these values and decided to visit The Sezin School in our neighborhood. Founded by a family of educators and guided by visionary women directors, the school truly has a homelike atmosphere but is also committed to high-quality academics. Our confidence in The Sezin School has never diminished over the years. Today, our daughter as a 10th Grade student does not want to leave her school and we will still be  a member of the Sezin family even after she graduates.

The Sezin School is a place where I realise and boost my own creativity as a teacher.
Naturally, this allows us to raise creative children.

I started working as a music teacher at The Sezin School in 2001. I have not lost the excitement I had since my first day and I am very lucky to have students who motivate me every single day.

The Sezin School has always given special importance to Art Education and I have always been encouraged to spread this philosophy to our students.
